Shelby teaching Steven that 4 hands are better than 2. This is a fun way to share the long hours of rowing. I always thought that with all the rowing on these trips I should have lost some weight! Boy was I wrong. We usually eat better on the river than we do at home!
This is in front of one of the biggest rapids on Deso. It's called Coal Creek and is pretty fun to row through. We usually tie off the rafts and hike down to "scout" it out, before we go through it. You can't really tell how big it is from this picture, but I can tell you that it's big enough to put a large smile on my face! Does Steven look nervous???
Fairview 2006. This is the trip where Steven proposed to me. If you look at my right cheek you can see where I had been picking at a pimple and made a scab. Steven was upset that I had been picking at my face, which I thought was weird because he is soooo laid back. Now I know what he had been planning and that he wanted our engagement pictures to be perfect. That's why we was worried about the scab! Anyways, this is a picture of us playing paintball, which was a blast. I got shot in the butt by a cousin and it left a perfectly round welt. It was well worth it!
