Ghost Chase 2008

Steven stretching before the big race!

Steven clears his schedule every year so that he can run in the Ghost Chase. Next to him is his little brother Kyle. You think they get into this a little too much??? I mean check out the rocky shorts and leg bling! It's pretty funny how excited these kids get for the race. They even start talkin' smack! And boy, can those 3rd graders run fast! Just the crazed looks on their faces scared me!

Pediatric Halloween Party
This is an annual party that Shelby's work holds for children with Diabetes. Shelby was in charge of planning and coordinating everything! We were told by several parents that it was the best party in several years. There were over 200 kids that came for games and prizes! Steven was burning up by the end of the night! His costume must've weighed 20 lbs! He was my knight in shining armor, truly:) The best part though was that a few minutes before the party ended, the fog machine in the spook alley set off the fire alarms!!! The fire department showed up and had to clear the building before we could go back in. Everyone thought it was pretty exciting and how they'd never forget this year's party! Something tells me this is one Halloween party that will be remembered!Monday, October 27, 2008
Steven's 29 Birthday Party

So, because Steven is like this "fabulous" ice skater I thought I'd surprise him with a bunch of family and friends at the ice skating rink! He couldn't believe that I didn't bring his own ice skates:) I lovingly told him " a good hockey player can skate in anything!" (A favorite line from the movie 'Just Friends') I don't think he thought it was as funny as I did. His brother ended up bringing him his own skates and so I guess he got his birthday wish. After skating we went back to our house for homemade German Chocolate Cake and ice cream. It was a great night!Thursday, October 2, 2008
