We're gettin' there!

These are the collages that we just finished for our adoption profile. Steven and I worked side by side, literally, putting these together. We are really pleased with how they turned out and so is our Social Worker, Alisa. We should receive our final approval on January 7th! Whooppeeeee!!!! We are ecstatic, as you can imagine. We'll let you know when you can see our entire profile on-line, too. Thanks for all the continued support of our family and friends. We love you!

Christmas Cookie Decorating Party 2008

The cookie decorating party at Rashel and Carters was so much fun. I'm not sure what was in the heavenly frosting that mom made, but according to Steven I don't want to know! I think most everyone made it to this party, which was pretty cool. I think Savannah loved it, too. Or at least all the different sprinkles:)

Thanksgiving at Wilda's, 2008

Thanksgiving play time before the feast! There were a lot of people at Grandma's house! Good thing we had 50 lbs of stuffing:)

So apparently stuffing is the whole reason we have Thanksgiving:) Grandma Wilda was passionate about this stuffing! Steven helped her get it all together. I've never seen so much Jimmy Dean in all my life:O It was tasty though!

Family Halloween Party 2008

A few of the cousins costumes.

I'm pretty sure Kaylee was a vampiress! She'd look cute no matter who she was!

A few pics from the family Halloween Party where Shelby won the best female costume. We're still trying to track down who has pictures of her costume. It was hilarious!!! And will never be forgotten:)

Ghost Chase 2008

Steven stretching before the big race!

Steven clears his schedule every year so that he can run in the Ghost Chase. Next to him is his little brother Kyle. You think they get into this a little too much??? I mean check out the rocky shorts and leg bling! It's pretty funny how excited these kids get for the race. They even start talkin' smack! And boy, can those 3rd graders run fast! Just the crazed looks on their faces scared me!

Pediatric Halloween Party

This is an annual party that Shelby's work holds for children with Diabetes. Shelby was in charge of planning and coordinating everything! We were told by several parents that it was the best party in several years. There were over 200 kids that came for games and prizes! Steven was burning up by the end of the night! His costume must've weighed 20 lbs! He was my knight in shining armor, truly:) The best part though was that a few minutes before the party ended, the fog machine in the spook alley set off the fire alarms!!! The fire department showed up and had to clear the building before we could go back in. Everyone thought it was pretty exciting and how they'd never forget this year's party! Something tells me this is one Halloween party that will be remembered!

Steven's 29 Birthday Party

Boy, that must be a BIG wish! Happy Birthday Steven! We all love you!

So, because Steven is like this "fabulous" ice skater I thought I'd surprise him with a bunch of family and friends at the ice skating rink! He couldn't believe that I didn't bring his own ice skates:) I lovingly told him " a good hockey player can skate in anything!" (A favorite line from the movie 'Just Friends') I don't think he thought it was as funny as I did. His brother ended up bringing him his own skates and so I guess he got his birthday wish. After skating we went back to our house for homemade German Chocolate Cake and ice cream. It was a great night!

BYU Football game, September 2008

Taylor was awesome enough to share his tickets with us for this game. It was a gorgeous day and we had a blast hootin' and hollerin'! BYU kicked some butt too!

Lagoon Day!!!

The gang gathers for a photo opp! This was the better of the 2 photos:)

Thanks to Lesli and Buzzy the whole fam was able to go to Lagoon. It was so much fun to try some of the newer rides. We of course rode all the biggest, wildest, rides several times each. The park was super slow in the am and so we had a chance to ride a whole bunch of rides. We all enjoyed park food with vouchers that Buzzy gave us. The weather was perfect all day long and I even got a little sun on my face. I think our favorite rides were wicked and re-entry. We missed a few who weren't able to make it, but we were sure glad that Austin and his buddy were able to come!

We finally completed our Adoption Application!!!

Steven and I wanted to remember this moment forever and so we took a picture. We were so excited to get everything turned in! We know we're still at the beginning of this journey, but we're ready for whatever lies ahead!

We went for a Sunday drive to Cascade Springs and I'd almost forgotten how beautiful it is there. We went for a stroll and took some pictures. Very relaxing and fun:)

Chloe Jo's Birthday Party in the Park

Chloe's birthday was a big hit! Mikey and Sandra hired a guy to tie balloons for all the kids. There were a lot of Arials, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, swords, and even Snow White! We had sloppy joes and sugar cookies. It was a blast!

Anniversary #2

For our 2nd anniversary Steven and I went to Park City for the weekend. We enjoyed a good mix of relaxation, exhilaration, and shopping! Thanks to Lesli, we came up with some good ideas for fun. We had a blast at Park City Mtn. where we rode the alpine slide a few times and the new coaster that is there. They were sooo fun! Steven couldn't believe how fast I got going and he couldn't/wouldn't keep up. Saturday night we went up to the Canyon's Resort and there was a live concert going on outside. It was pretty cool. The band was from New Orleans and they were rockin'! I had a good time dancing and even got Steven dancing a little bit. The picture is at the concert with the stage/band in the background. The weather was fabulous (not too hot) and of course, the scenery was gorgeous. We were happy to get home and see the doggies though! Now, on for our 3rd year!!!

Park City Mountain

So there's absolutely no competition! Shelby kicked Steven's butt on both the Alpine slide and the coaster! He'll even admit it. I got so much speed that sled actually caught air! It was so cool! I definitely recommend it as long as you have a wad of $$ to spend!

Fairview 2008

Shelby napping with the puppies! All the 4-wheeling, eating, hiking, and game playing must've worn me out!

Tanner is amazingly good at riding his motorcycle. He could probably kick both Steven and Shelby's butts when it comes to riding!

Malia with our pups! Malia is always so good to take them for walks, pet them, or even brush them!

Rock Climbing for Parker's Birthday

I love that Parker is so adventurous!! He must be my brother:) This is a pic of Steven climbing. Just turn your head to the right a bit and the picture makes a bit more sense. He, he.
